FEMALE FERTILITY TEST

The Barza female fertility test is a fast qualitative test that detects the level of the FSH (follicular stimulating hormone) in the urine, to evaluate the ovarian function.

Because the concentration of the FSH in the urine is influenced by a series of factors like the water intake or sweating, you should perform the test at least 2 times. The decay of the ovarian function is one of the possible causes of lowered fertility and if the result of the test is positive, you should get checked by a doctor.

MALE FERTILITY TEST

The Barza male fertility test is a quick test that determines the quality of the spermatozoa concentration in the human seminal liquid and it helps establish the level of masculine fertility.

SP 10 is a protein found only in the testicles and is used for the analysis of the concentration of spermatozoa. The concentration of the SP 10 protein is proportional with the concentration of spermatozoa in the seminal liquid. The test is positive when the spermatozoa concentration is higher than 15×10^6/ml.

How to use?

FEMALE FERTILITY TEST

The first morning urine containing the highest level of FSH is recommended. Daytime urine will contain lower levels, which may indicate a false negative result.

Put 4 drops of collected urine into the testing orifice of the cassette.

MALE FERTILITY TEST

Transfer 0.1 ml of sperm, using the syringe, into the buffer tube. Gently shake the tube to homogenize the contents, then leave it for 2 minutes on a flat surface.

Unscrew the tip of the test tube cap and add 2 drops to the test box of the cassette.

How to interpret the result

FEMALE FERTILITY TEST

NEGATIVE RESULT: The ovarian function is normal
If the test shows just one coloured line in the control zone (C), or in the test zone (T) the colour of the line is lighter than in the C zone. This result indicates the presence of FSH in urine at a concentration below 25mlU/ml.

POSITIVE RESULT: The ovarian function is degrading, possible cause of infertility
If the test shows 2 distinct lines, and the test line (T) is as intense as or more intense than the control line (C). This result indicates the presence of FSH in the urine at a concentration equal to or greater than 25 mIU / ml. If the test result is positive, it is good to repeat the test after 5-7 days, because the FSH may vary throughout the menstrual cycle.

INVALID RESULT: Test is invalid
If there is no line in the control zone (C) or just a line in the test zone (T) is present. We recommend you retake a new Barza fertility test.

MALE FERTILITY TEST

NEGATIVE RESULT: Low concentration of spermatozoa – possible cause of infertility
If the test shows just one coloured line in the control zone (C), or in the test zone (T) the colour of the line is lighter than in the C zone. This indicates a negative result, the concentration of spermatozoa being below 15×10^6/ml.

POSITIVE RESULT: The spermatozoa concentration is normal
If the test shows 2 distinct lines, one in the test zone (T) and one in the control zone (C). This indicates a positive result, the sperm count is equal to or greater than 15×10^6/ml.

INVALID RESULT: Test is invalid
If there is no line in the control zone (C) or just a line in the test zone (T) is present. We recommend you retake a new Barza fertility test. Ensure that quantity of the sample to be analyzed is sufficient. If the problem persists, contact the manufacturer or distributor.
