Questions and answers
The Barza Ovulation Test is a quick test that detects the presence of luteinizing hormone (LH) in your urine to find out when is the best time to get pregnant.
During the test, when the urine sample contains luteinizing hormone (LH), it reacts with the β-LH antibody, conjugated with colloidal gold, and this reaction further produces the coloured line, visible to the naked eye, in the test area (T). A coloured line, visible to the naked eye, always appears in the control area (C). If the LH level in the sample is equal to, or greater than, 25 mIU/ml, the colour of the test line (T) will be the same or more intense than that of the control line (C), indicating that ovulation will occur within 24 to 48 hours. If the sample contains no LH, or if it has a low LH level, the only coloured line will appear in the control area (C) or the colour of the line in the test area (T) will be lighter than the line in the control area (C), indicating that ovulation will not occur soon.
The Barza ovulation test is more than 99% accurate.
